I read you were thinking of a foam- cement structure. Another system that is faster and cost less than many of the foam blocks filled with concrete systems. This system is out of Denver, also is rated R40 with 120-140 wind load on a 30 ft. wall section.
The main difference is with foam blocks the foam is on the outside unprotected till it is covered.
With the system (I am not connected with) that I am revering to the foam is in the middle the concrete is on the outside. I was also told the foam is environmentally friendly , you could eat it.
I applaud you for taking a stance in your choice of building materials. I would rather build an 1,800 sq. ft. home energy friendly than…..(Do Not Reprint following line Please) the monster 12,000 I am building now. I am tiring to convince my client to go thermal on heat and air.
I remember looking for you and Yabo tiring to figure what happened to you two on the Sentinel. I liked Yabo’s version, probably not to different that yours.
I am just getting back into climbing after a long absence boating and other life experiences
Ha Ha Ha! I said I have been out of climbing for ten years and your book that I thought came out recently came out in 01? Well I will send this as at least if the house is built you can get a laugh at the guy who was lost in a time warp.
